W126 is a series of flagship vehicles manufactured by German automotive marque Mercedes- Benz. Premiering in September 1979 as the successor to the earlier W116 line, the W126 was the second generation of the Mercedes- Benz flagship to officially bear the S-Class name referring to Sonderklasse or "special
class."

The Mercedes-Benz
R107 automobiles were produced from 1971 through 1989, being the longest single series ever produced by the firm, besides the G-Class.
They were sold under the SLClass and SLC-Class model names. The R107 replaced the W113 SL-Class in 1972 and was replaced by the R129 SL-Class in 1989.

Offered for auction here is a complete custom keyless entry solution for the Mercedes 107 class SL series of convertible roadsters. These cars which were offered from 1972-1989 were never offered with a keyless entry solution from Mercedes Benz. This kit allows the owner a solution that will lock and unlock both the drivers door, the passenger side door, the gas cap flap, and the trunk with the push of a single button. These cars use a vacuum operated lock and unlock system. This kit combines an electrical-mechanical actuator with that vacuum system to allow the owner the convenience of keyless entry.

This complete kit comes with everything needed to install this system. Contents include:

This kit will lead the owner step by step through the process of installing this kit. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. This entire installation should take the average do it yourselfer no more than three hours and probably less time than that. Here is an excerpt from the installation manual: Page 8, Step 7:

Using a large Phillips screwdriver (#3) remove the screw that holds the arm rest to the door. This screw is located towards the front of the armrest and underneath.

This kit familiarizes the installer with the vehicle and how the system works as well as how this kit will interface with the cars system. This kit does not require extensive modification or damages to the vehicle. It can be inactivated at any time without removing the hardware.

This kit allows the installer to choose from two different system modes:

Silent Lock and Unlock
Silent Lock and Unlock with Light flash
